I’m back from some amazing travels to Japan and Los Angeles and have so much to share around health and parenting.

Today I’m excited to offer you a taste of Japan….

We happened upon a Tea Ceremony in Tokyo and I knew I had to share this with you.

Have you ever tried Matcha Green Tea? I had heard it’s a great detoxifier but had never tried it.

What’s different about matcha green tea? It’s a powder, not a leaf tea, and because you are ingesting the whole ground leaf you get far more benefits that drinking a green tea steeped from a tea bag.

This tea is very high in antioxidants so it’s helpful in detoxing the body. It’s also been shown to reduce or moderate the stress response.

It can deliver quite a burst of caffeine but unlike the usual jolt from coffee, the caffeine from matcha is delivered over a 6-8 hr period. That was just what I needed when jet lag had me up at 4am!
